EPB Tech recently participated in the Investor & Industry Delegation Visit to Utilities Kertih at the Kertih Integrated Petrochemical Complex (KIPC), hosted by PETRONAS Gas Berhad (PGB). The engagement was organised by the East Coast Economic Region Development Council (ECERDC) as part of its continuous effort to strengthen the regional industrial ecosystem.

The strategic session brought together investors and local industry players to explore collaboration opportunities within the Utilities Kertih ecosystem.

Strengthening Regional Industrial Collaboration

During the visit, PETRONAS Gas Berhad showcased its comprehensive utility infrastructure and service offerings to potential industrial off-takers operating within KIPC. The platform also enabled selected local companies to present their technical capabilities in areas including:

  • Maintenance and reliability services

  • Operations support

  • Advanced technical and engineering solutions

EPB Tech was proud to be among the participating companies, reinforcing its commitment to supporting Malaysia’s heavy industry sector through advanced fabrication, hybrid machining, and Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM) technologies.

Supporting PETRONAS’ Operational Value Chain

The engagement aligns closely with EPB Tech’s strategic direction to contribute to the PETRONAS operational value chain by providing high-performance, locally manufactured critical components and engineering solutions.

As a regional innovation hub for advanced fabrication, EPB Tech aims to enhance supply chain resilience and reduce dependency on overseas manufacturing for mission-critical industrial parts.

Building a Connected, Value-Driven Ecosystem

A total of 29 participants from 12 companies took part in the delegation. The strong response reflects growing interest in strengthening collaboration between investors, utilities operators, and local technology providers.

EPB Tech views this initiative as an important step toward fostering a connected and competitive industrial ecosystem in the East Coast region — one that accelerates innovation, enhances local participation, and supports sustainable industrial growth.

The company looks forward to continued engagement with ECERDC, PETRONAS Gas Berhad, and industry stakeholders to unlock further opportunities in advanced manufacturing and engineering solutions.
