Advanced Metal Additive Manufacturing

EPB Tech combines four proven manufacturing technologies with engineering authority to deliver production-ready metal components

SS 316 L

Corrosion-resistant stainless steel ideal for demanding industrial environments. Offers excellent strength, durability, and resistance to chemicals, moisture, and high temperatures.

CARBON STEEL

A cost-effective material with high strength and toughness. Well-suited for functional prototypes, tooling, fixtures, and industrial components requiring reliable mechanical performance.

ALUMINIUM ALLOYS

Lightweight yet strong, with excellent thermal properties and corrosion resistance. Perfect for aerospace, automotive, and engineering applications where weight reduction is critical.

POWDER BED FUSION (LPBF)

Powder Bed Fusion uses a laser to fuse fine metal powder layer by layer, producing dense, high-accuracy components with complex internal features that are impossible or uneconomical to machine conventionally. Every part is manufactured to end-use standards, not prototypes.

2Create Plus
An industry-proven additive manufacturing platform used across aerospace, energy, and industrial manufacturing sectors. Build area: 150mm × 150mm.

HYBRID MANUFACTURING

ADDITIVE + CNC MACHINING

EPB Tech's Hybrid CNC capability combines wire-laser Directed Energy Deposition (DED) with precision CNC machining in a single integrated workflow. Material is deposited exactly where needed, then machined to final tolerances, eliminating multiple setups, reducing lead times, and enabling repairs that are otherwise impossible without full component replacement.

Phillips Meltio Hybrid — Additive Hybrid powered by Haas
A multi-laser direct diode system (1,000–1,200W total) mounted on a Haas CNC platform. Wire-fed DED with 0.8–1.2mm diameter wire feedstock. Build volume scales with the CNC machine configuration.

WIRE ARC ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING

(WAAM)

Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM) builds metal components layer by layer using robotic wire-fed arc welding. It is the most cost-effective method for producing medium to large near-net-shape metal parts with high structural integrity — at deposition rates conventional machining cannot match.

EPB Tech is the authorised manufacturing partner of MX3D for Malaysia — the only company in Malaysia certified to deliver industrial WAAM services on MX3D M-Systems.

  • Large-scale component production up to 6m × 1.5m build envelope
  • High deposition rates — significantly faster than traditional fabrication
  • Near-net-shape output minimises post-process machining
  • Suitable for new builds, structural repairs, and dimensional restoration
  • Reduced material waste versus conventional subtractive methods
